1 Shamrock Beginning Sounds
This worksheet will help your kids practice their knowledge of beginning sounds - while also getting familiar with the St. Patrick-themed objects featured in it! To start, ask your kid to name the object or help them name it if they are not yet familiar with it. Say “R-r-r-r-rainbow”, emphasizing the initial sound “R”. Then, ask them which shamrock has the letter having that sound. Once they are able to identify it correctly, instruct them to color the shamrock. Do the same with the other objects (leprechaun, pot, hat) until it is done. They can also have fun coloring it too!
2 Pot o'Gold Counting
The pot of gold is a known part of St. Patrick’s Day celebration, so in this worksheet, we will be counting gold coins! This is a great way to practice counting and will test your kid’s skills in number recognition. Your kid will have to count each group of gold coins, then select the correct number at the bottom. Next, guide them in cutting out the number and paste them into the box on the right side. That way, they will also be practicing their fine motor movements!
3 Lucky Patterns
Can your little one recognize patterns? You can test it out first using the objects around you. You can point out a pattern and ask them what they think comes next. Pattern recognition is an important skill that will help develop their logical thinking, and this worksheet can be of great help! Name the objects in the worksheet first, then try to figure out the pattern. Complete the lucky patterns by finding the missing object. Just cut it out from the bottom of the page and glue it in the correct spot.
4 Sorting Pots o' Gold
Some kids get confused with numbers and letters. This worksheet will be helpful in such case. It has two large pots of gold in it with the words letters and numbers below. Kids will have to cut, sort, and glue the numbers and letters into the correct pot. Aside from practicing their fine motor skills, they will also be testing their skills in number and letter recognition, as well as classifying and organizing things.
